The Freeman Hospital

The Rosebery Hotel is the nearest hotel to the Freeman Hospital. We are located 1.1 miles from the Hospital.

The 38 bus runs right outside the hotel and takes you to the main entrance to the Freeman. It is 4 stops on the bus. Buses run every 5-6 minutes from 5am to midnight. There is also a very pleasant walk through Jesmond Dene Park from the hotel to the hospital, which takes 10 minutes at the most.

We appreciate that relatives of patients at the Freeman, sometimes have to deal with  stressful situations, the staff at the Rosebery Hotel, do our utmost to ensure that you are looked after with sensitivity and care, during your stay with us. Long term stays of relatives at the Freeman Hospital, will be offered discounts (please quote the Freeman Rate), also discounts with local take-aways/restaurants/Deli and the staff will do your washing/ironing for free.

Long term guests, also can use the fridge/freezer and microwave and in the evenings have use of the dining room.
