By Car from motorways

From South of Newcastle: A1, Tyne Tunnel, head north following the Morpeth signs. After about 1 mile, take a left turn onto the A1058. Pass the Corner House pub / restaurant, then take a right turn at the next set of traffic lights, bear right, then first right again onto Churchill Gardens.

From North of Newcastle: A1. Follow the Tyne Tunnel signs, then take a right turn onto A1058 (Silverlink Junction). Pass the corner House pub / restaurant, then take a right turn at the next set of traffic lights, bear right, then first right again onto Churchill Gardens.

From West of Newcastle: A69, A167 Jedburgh Road. Take A1058 (Jesmond Road). At the second set of traffic lights, turn left, first right, then right again onto Churchill Gardens.

From Newcastle City Centre

Buses - The hotel is located on a main arterial route from the city centre, A1058 going east to Tynemouth and the coast. Buses are extremely regular, every 2-3 minutes and run until midnight;

From the Railway Station - number 38 – (To the Freeman Hospital). Come out of the station, cross over the road, the number 38 bus stop, this will take you 10-12 minutes traffic dependent. Ask for the Cradlewell stop. Get off the bus and you will come into a small parade of shops, stay to the right. Look up and you will see a large church, Holy Trinity, the hotel is opposite. The number 38 bus runs through the centre of the city and can be picked up at the Monument, the Theatre Royal and at the Grainger Market.

From the centre of town and Haymarket (and Haymarket Metro Station) Numbers 305, 306, 307, 308 and 309.

This journey will take you approximately, 6-7 minutes, depending on rush hour and the time of day. Ask for the Cradlewell stop. Again you will come into a small parade of shops, stay on the right. Look up and you will see a large church, Holy Trinity, past Dene's Deli and you will come into Churchill gardens. The hotel is opposite the church.

Walking - Approximately 8-10 minutes from the city centre, Civic Centre, Newcastle University and the University of Northumbria.

From Newcastle airport

Taxi - Cost is roughly £7-10 in a taxi – Larger vehicles for 6 or more maybe slightly higher. Good reliable taxi firm 0191 222 0 555 – Five Star Taxis.
Metro - We are 20 minutes on the Metro from the airport, the metro is about £2.60 for a journey from the airport to Jesmond Metro Station (not West Jesmond). Take the green line to South Shields.

From arrival at Jesmond Metro come out of the station turn left, onto Jesmond road. This is a major road and has a large set of traffic lights to your right. Cross over Osborne Road at the junction of Jesmond Road. Continue ahead in a straight line. You will pass the Imperial Hotel on your left, then a large graveyard, continue on, where you will come to a set of traffic lights and a pub on your left called the Punch Bowl. Continue on, past another pub called the Cradlewell. A gym and a restaurant called the Barn. All on your left, then you will come into a small parade of shops and Rehills convenience store. Look up and you will see a large church on your right, Holy Trinity, cross over the road towards the church and you will come into Churchill gardens. The hotel is opposite the church. This is a very easy route and will take you approximately, 5-10 minutes depending on your stride and speed. (click on map)

From Newcastle's Freeman Hospital

Bus - Come out of the main entrance, directly straight in front on the main road, is a bus stop, number 38, takes you to just outside the hotel. Ask for the Cradlewell stop. Take a left off the bus, up a pathway, make a left and the hotel is on your right. 5-7 minutes.

By Car - Take a left out of the hospital grounds, left at the 1st roundabout, 3rd exit at the 2nd roundabout, continue on for 800 yards, you will come to a junction with the A1058, stay in the right hand lane, indicate right. Opposite will be a pub called the Corner House. Take a right here, continue for another 800 yards, take the next right at the first set of traffic lights, which has a filter lane. You will come into a small parade of shops, stay on the right. Look up and you will see a large church, Holy Trinity, past Dene's Deli and you will come into Churchill gardens. The hotel is opposite the church.
