The Rosebery, boutique bed and breakfast Newcastle upon Tyne, offers guests something a little different from the large purpose-built chain hotels.

We have styled the whole hotel and every room with vintage French beds and chosen colour schemes to ensure that the rooms are cosy and inviting. Charming curios enhance the building’s natural original features, such as statement fireplaces, detailed ceiling roses and coving.

We don’t stop at the room, our breakfasts are also pretty special, with fresh home-cooked produce, that includes artisan bread from The French Oven, hand made jams from The Cherry Tree and the finest sausage and bacon from a family run Northumberland farm.

Spring is in the air and the staff at the Rosebery Hotel are looking forward to testing the new ranges of fresh coffee for our newly acquired cappuccino machine. We will also be introducing coffees throughout the day for residents, with a range of flavoured syrups to offer guests something different.

Dermot our wonderful handyman has been tidying up the garden, with the first signs of new green buds on plants. We have had a fantastic collection of new hardy evergreen plants, which will give the hotel garden structure and interest all year round. Even in the bleakest Winter months, there will be some lovely lush greenery.

We have some superb examples of topiary, which we have acquired. We love the curly ones…a must in the hotel garden. May need quite a lot of care and trimmings! Regular trips to the hairdressers!

There is nothing better than sitting in the spring sunshine with a cup of tea and enjoying the sound of the birds singing to one another. Don’t you think?
